Make the Connection pairs photos of standard abusive practices animals used for food are subjected to with pictures of humans posing as victims of the same abuses and asks viewers to try putting themselves in the animals’ places. Mobilization for Animals created the first pictures for Make the Connection in 2006 for World Day for Farm Animals. We have continued to add to it, and, presently it has 14 pairs of pictures. MFA has shown MTC in subway and train stations in Philadelphia and at many street locations. It almost always draws a crowd, and many people take the time to read the extensive text that accompanies each set of pictures, as well as help themselves to the literature we make available. At almost every showing of this exhibit, MFA volunteers have had conversations with people inspired to go vegan. Presently MFA is in the process of making MTC into a slide show to be posted on the internet and shown on the street using our wide-screen TV. To be notified when the video slide show is available, please subscribe to our newsletter.
